I believe therapy is not only about reducing pain or difficult emotions, but also about learning to understand, hold, and relate to them with greater compassion. Throughout my own growth and training, I have become increasingly interested in how emotions shape the ways we think, make choices, protect ourselves, and connect with others. What draws me to this field is the possibility of making complex inner experiences more accessible and understandable, especially the feelings and relational patterns that may have once felt unclear, hidden, or difficult to name. Even when life feels overwhelming or beyond our control, our work together can help you notice the small choices that remain available to you. I hope our therapeutic relationship can offer a steady and supportive space where you do not have to weather life’s difficult seasons alone.
I am currently pursuing my M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. I provide counseling in both English and Mandarin. I am especially interested in supporting international students and young adults navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, cultural adjustment, family expectations, and identity-related concerns.
My clinical style is warm, reflective, and collaborative. My work is informed by relational and psychodynamic perspectives, with attention to how early experiences, cultural contexts, and recurring relationship patterns shape the ways we understand ourselves and connect with others. I also value a culturally sensitive approach that honors each client’s unique experience rather than fitting their feelings into a fixed framework.
