Cheng(Jinghui)Jin is a mental health counselor who brings depth, warmth, and presence to her work. Rooted in a psychodynamic framework, she helps clients explore how early experiences, inner conflicts, unconsciousness, and relationships shape their present lives. In her sessions, she creates a space that feels both gentle and alive: a place where clients can slow down, speak honestly, and rediscover a sense of coherence and connection.

Her approach is also informed by feminist and multicultural perspectives. As an Asian queer and trilingual counselor (English, Korean, and Chinese), Cheng understands the complexity of carrying layered identities and is committed to LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-oppressive care that honors clients’ full humanity.

Cheng received her training in Mental Health Counseling at Lehigh University, where she worked in both hospital and college counseling settings, supporting clients through depression, anxiety, ASD, ADHD, identity development, and relationship challenges. She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management from Tsinghua University and worked as a product manager in tech. During that time, she learned what real struggle can look like behind achievement — how people can appear successful, yet feel profoundly disconnected or unseen. That experience now informs her empathy for high-achieving clients who carry invisible pain, and her commitment to helping them reconnect with authenticity and meaning.

Cheng’s work integrates psychodynamic depth with practical tools from CBT and DBT when helpful. Her guiding values are truth, freedom, and compassion for shared vulnerability — and a quiet faith that every person holds the capacity for growth and repair.

我在理海大学完成心理健康咨询专业训练,期间曾在医院与大学咨询中心工作,陪伴来访走过抑郁、焦虑、ADHD、ASD、身份探索与关系困境等阶段。在此之前,我毕业于清华大学管理学专业,并在大厂担任产品经理。这些经历让我亲眼看见成就光环背后常被忽视的挣扎,也加深了我对“高功能痛苦”的理解。

在实践中,我尝试将心理动力学的深度理解,与认知行为疗法(CBT)和辩证行为疗法(DBT)的实用技巧相结合。我相信真实与自由的价值,并始终以温柔的同理心,面对人类共同的脆弱与创伤——同时也坚信,每个人都拥有自我成长与修复的力量。
