Counseling for Asian Professionals in English, Japanese, and Mandarin
Noah is a therapy resident at Mind Connections NYC. He focuses on mental health for Asian Americans, especially supporting tech professionals, high achievers, and the international community. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese, Noah brings a unique trilingual perspective to his practice. In particular, he recognizes the place where cultural identity and stress overlap. As a result, he provides a supportive space to heal from burnout, family responsibility, relationship issues, and mental health challenges that professionals often face.
From High-Tech to Mental Health Counseling
Before psychotherapy, Noah spent over 10 years as a Software Engineer and Product Manager. He graduated from the University of Tokyo and is currently completing his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at NYU. He deeply understands high-tech burnout and stress. For instance, the typical imposter syndrome for professionals, the lack of job security for H1b holders, and the anxiety of high-achievers. Beyond emotional support, he provides career transition counseling for tech workers ready for a change.
Culturally Responsive Therapy for Asian Americans
Noah was raised in Japan in a Chinese family and later moved to the U.S. He understands the “quiet loneliness” of being an immigrant. If you feel torn between different cultural values or family expectations, Noah provides a space where you are truly seen. Yes, he understands your struggles and offers culturally responsive therapy for Asian immigrants.
A Holistic Approach in Therapy
Noah applies evidence-based tools to help you stop overthinking. Trained in CBT and ACT therapy for anxiety and depression, Noah would like to help you break stuck thought patterns. He will assist you in practicing mindfulness to calm the body’s stress response. Noah uses psychodynamic therapy to explore how your early experience affects your life today. Through this process, you can gain the insight needed to make lasting and meaningful changes.
Build a Life That Feels Like Yours
Whether you feel stuck in repeating relationship loops, drained by work, or unsure what you truly want, you don’t have to carry it alone. Noah helps you slow down and make sense of what is happening. You will practice new ways of responding with more clarity and self-compassion. Noah’s goal is to help you build a life that feels more grounded, connected, and genuinely your own.
